Physical Challenges
We're reaching out to our incredible supporters to join us in embracing our love of sport by signing up to an exhilarating physical challenge in the name of Special Olympics Ireland.
Our athletes experience the profound benefits of physical exercise every day. From improved physical health to enhanced mental well-being, the impact of sports on their lives is immeasurable. By running, walking or cycling for Special Olympics, you'll not only be supporting our athletes but also enjoying the countless benefits of sports firsthand.
Looking for inspiration, why not take a look at some events below?
The Cook Medical Mini Marathon
The Cook Medical Mini Marathon kicks off on Sunday 6th October, at the University of Limerick. Participants of all ages will run, jog, or walk the 5 km and 10 km courses at their own pace while raising funds for charity.
Dublin City Marathon 2024
With its iconic route past Dublin’s most famous landmarks, a relatively flat course and optimum running temperatures, the Irish Life Dublin Marathon on October 27th is unmissable.
Places in the Dublin Marathon sell out months in advance so securing a place can be difficult, however we can guarantee your entry through our charity places.
Runamuck Challenge
Looking for something a little different, why not consider entering a team at the Runamuck Challenge on October 19th.
Known as Ireland's Original and most popular Obstacle Mud Run Challenge, the event promises a cross country obstacle "run" over a mucky course designed to test your mental & physical strength and leave you with a big grin on your face.
Whether you are young or old, it's kid-like fun for all.
