Supreme skiing as Team Ireland hits the slopes
Team Ireland had a seriously impressive start on its first full day of competition, with standout moments in both Alpine Skiing and Floorball.
On the slopes, our skiers had great showings in their respective divisions - powering through with confidence and skill.

Caolan McConville made history as the first Special Olympics Ireland athlete to appear in the Advanced Giant Slalom category - after initially preparing for the intermediate category! What an amazing achievement, and we're wishing Caolan and the rest of the team all the success in the world. Check out this heart-warming interview with Skiing Head Coach Jill Sloan about Caolan's achievement.

Lucy Best and Máire Connolly made waves with great showings at the Novice Giant Slalom, while Clive Healy had a great experience in the same event - watch Clive's take on it here.
Lorraine Whelan put in a powerful performance in the Intermediate Giant Slalom - watch this great interview with Lorraine and her proud father Brendan - and Donal Brennan was very speedy down the slopes in that event.
We can't wait to follow the Team Ireland alpine skiers as they continue racing down the slopes to glory!
