Special Olympics Collection Day Appeal
Friday, April 21st is our Annual Collection Day. Play your part this Collection Day and help support our ongoing sport, health and leadership programmes.

Collection Day funds all our athletes in their training and competition throughout our 4 year cycle. It is vital for keeping our grass-roots programmes up and running so we can grow and develop our athletes.
This year is a very exciting one for us, Special Olympics Ireland will send a team of 73 athletes, supported by a 34-strong coaching and management team to compete in 12 sports at the Special Olympics World Games in Berlin. This is the largest inclusive sporting event in the world and Team Ireland has a strong legacy on the world stage. Over 3000 athletes took part in qualifiers throughout 2022 to qualify for these Games.
By supporting Collection Day this April you will help Special Olympics Ireland continue to deliver to our life changing programmes to all our athletes. Some of these athletes will realise their goal of getting to a World Games but for most it is the weekly participation in club activity in your local community that helps transform their lives.
