Places still available on the Berlin Volunteer Programme

If you’d love a very different volunteering experience in 2023, why not consider volunteering at the Special Olympics World Games Berlin 2023 / 17 to 25 June with a group of other volunteers from the Ireland programme. What an experience it would be to be part of one of the largest inclusive sporting events for people with intellectual disabilities this year! 

We still have a limited amount of places available for our Berlin Volunteer Programme. 

This experience includes the opportunity to volunteer at some of the main sporting venues in Berlin where you will get to experience the magic of Special Olympics on the world stage. You will also have some time off to attend some of the games and/or visit the Berlin sights. This is the first time the games have come to Germany and they are planning a vibrant international festival of sport with the aim of achieving greater recognition and social participation for people with intellectual disabilities in our society .

To attend the Games as part of the Special Olympics Ireland Volunteer Team we ask that you fundraise €3800/£3170*. This covers the costs of flights, accommodation, transport,  and per diems, and any additional funds go towards funding the Special Olympics Sports, Health and Leadership Programmes in 2023.
