Berlin Management Team

The 2023 Special Olympics World Summer Games will be held in Berlin from 17th – 25th June.

There will be a Host Town experience offered prior to the Games from the 12th –15th of June. The Host Town for Ireland has been confirmed as Bielefeld, North Rhine-Westphalia (Nordrhein-Westfalen). The team will fly into Düsseldorf Airport (DUS) and will be transported by the Local Organising Committee to Berlin for the commencement of the Games. The time commitment for the Games is June 12th – 26th. The Games will feature seven days of competition in 24 sports.



Team Ireland will take part in the following sports: athletics, badminton, basketball, bocce, bowling, equestrian, football, golf, gymnastics, kayaking, swimming, and table tennis.

Sending the best prepared and supported Team Ireland to a World Games is an ongoing commitment from Special Olympics Ireland and to that end, we are now inviting candidates for the following volunteer roles:
