Making Waves at the Connaught Category 1 Swimming Event

Sligo Regional Sports Centre played host to a Category 1 Swimming event on Wednesday 13th November featuring 24 athletes. 

The Category 1 designation is for those athletes that need assistance, or can swim 15 metres unassisted – events like these are an important part of our drive towards inclusion in sport, where athletes of varying abilities can learn, compete, and improve. 

A special thanks is due to the event volunteers and students from Sligo Grammar School for their help on the day.
