Golf
Golf is a precision club and ball sport, in which competing players (or golfers) use many types of clubs to hit a ball into a series of holes on a golf course using the fewest number of strokes. The game is played on golf courses, each of which features a unique design, although courses typically consist of either 9 or 18 holes.
Special Olympics Ireland offers golf at four different levels.
Level 1 is an individual skills programme, where athletes are given the opportunity to develope each of 6 skills in isolation.
Level 2 involves moving onto the golf course, playing alternate shots with a volunteer partner.
Level 4 involves playing 9 holes independently.
Level 5 involves playing 18 holes independently.
